Hello Pennichuck Families:
1. Here are some important highlights along with DATES TO REMEMBER from our November 2008 PTO Meeting:
a. The Pennichuck annual “Turkey Bowl” flag football game will be held on Wednesday, November 21, starting at around noon. Anyone can play. Have you child come down to the school solo, bring a friend or two, form a team, or just come play!
b. The PTO will be sponsoring a staff Holiday lunch/brunch on December 19th. An invitation, and request for food contributions will be coming to you soon! Mark your calendars!
c. The Nashua School PTOs are sponsoring a Nashua night at the Manchester Monarchs on January 25, 2008. We will have discounted tickets for sale at the great price of $10.00 each. You will get a flyer on this next month, but we wanted you to Save the Date!
d. The REACH program has set up a “games” session in the lobby during lunch on Fridays. All students are invited, and it has become so popular that that they sometimes run out of games. If you have any challenging games, new or used with all of the pieces please, that you would be willing to donate to this program, please drop them by the school office.
2. FUNDRAISING
Our fundraising continues, and you have an opportunity to help! We are continuing to try to raise funds to offer an enrichment program for the school, such as an artist in residence, defray some costs for field trips, and otherwise help support the education of our students. When you come in for your Parent/Teacher conference next week, you will have a chance to see the fantastic color t.v. DVD combo we are raffling off. For $5.00 for one ticket, or 6 for $20.00 you can enter to win this great TV, and also help support our PTO fundraising efforts.
Can you help us staff the table for an hour or so? How about coming in before or after your Parent/Teacher conference? We can really use some volunteers to staff the raffle table on Tuesday and Wednesday November 20 (starting at 4:00 – 8:00) and shifts all day Wed., November 21. Can you help out? Please contact Anita Hazard anitahaz@comcast.com if you can help out for any amount of time. We would really appreciate the help.
